Bully kutta
The Bully Kutta is a large mastiff-type dog from the Indian subcontinent, principally Punjab and Sindh, where it has been kept for centuries as a guardian and hunting dog.
The name derives from words meaning heavily wrinkled dog rather than from bulldog.
It stands 75 to 90 centimetres, weighs 60 to 90 kilograms and lives eight to ten years, with a short coat and loose skin. It is a powerful, territorial guardian breed. It is also associated with dogfighting in parts of its home range, which is illegal there and everywhere else, and it appears on restricted or banned lists in a number of countries — establishing the legal position is the first step for anyone considering one.

Check the law and your insurance before anything else. This breed is prohibited or restricted in a number of jurisdictions, and acquiring one without checking risks the dog being seized.
This is not a breed for an inexperienced owner under any circumstances. It requires structured training from puppyhood, continuous socialisation, and containment that cannot fail.
Avoid any breeder connected to fighting. The practice is illegal and the dogs produced by it carry both physical and behavioural damage.
As a giant breed, grow puppies slowly, ask for hip and elbow scores, and learn the signs of bloat.
The short coat is easy; the loose facial skin needs checking for irritation in the folds.
General guidance, not veterinary advice. Individual dogs vary, and anything about a specific animal is a question for a vet who has seen it.
